PSID: Payment Slip ID

A PSID is the challan generated on IRIS before paying tax, which you present at the bank or use for an online payment.

The PSID becomes a CPR once the payment is made. Generating a PSID is not payment, and returns are sometimes filed against an unpaid PSID by mistake.
