Answer your FBR notice properly, before the deadline runs out
We read your FBR notice, reply to it within the statutory deadline, represent you through the audit, and file appeals before the Commissioner Appeals and the Appellate Tribunal where an order is wrong.
Fee quoted before work starts. Same-day assessment of any notice sent to us on WhatsApp.
Anyone who has received a notice from the FBR or a provincial authority, is under audit, or is facing a demand, penalty or recovery order.
An unanswered notice becomes a best judgement assessment. The FBR can then attach your bank account and recover the demand without coming back to you.
Documents you need
Photographs from your phone are fine. Send what you have and we will tell you what is missing.
- The notice itself, every page, including the annexures
- Your IRIS login, or the acknowledgement of the notice
- The return and wealth statement for the year in question
- Bank statements and supporting documents for the transactions questioned
- Any earlier correspondence with the department
The process
Read the notice the same day
We identify the section, the deadline and what the department is actually asking, and tell you the real exposure rather than the worst case.
Reply and represent
We draft the reply with the supporting documents and appear before the officer on your behalf, so you do not have to attend.
Appeal if the order is wrong
Where an unjust order is passed we file an appeal before the Commissioner Appeals and, if needed, the Appellate Tribunal, with our advocate handling the litigation.
Same-day assessment of any notice sent to us on WhatsApp.
Questions about tax audit and litigation
- What happens if I ignore an FBR notice?
- The officer passes an ex parte or best judgement assessment based on his own estimate, which almost always produces a higher demand than the truth. Once that order is final your bank account can be attached to recover it.
- How long do I have to reply to an FBR notice?
- The notice itself states the deadline, commonly fifteen or thirty days from the date of service. An extension can be requested, but only before the original date passes.
- What does a notice under section 122(9) mean?
- A notice under section 122(9) is the show cause that precedes an amendment of your assessment, meaning the officer intends to increase your assessed income. It must be answered with evidence, because the amended order that follows is appealable but harder to undo.
- Can you appeal an order that has already been passed?
- Yes. An appeal to the Commissioner Appeals is normally filed within thirty days of the order, and beyond that the Appellate Tribunal. We handle both, and the earlier you bring it the stronger the position.
